Ministry of Prayer

The power of prayer, intercession and encouragement

Deuteronomy 28:12
The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

Psalm 78:23
Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven,

           Passage Joshua 1:8:
8This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Psalm 1:2-3
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Thank You Lord for giving us the recipe to living the abundant life that Jesus death burial and resurrection purchased for us; and thank You for giving us Holy Spirit empowering us to be and do all that You ordained.

PSALM 91:1-2

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress,; My God, in Him  I will trust."

A familiar verse to the body of Christ and it is awesome. It lifts and magnifies our God. He is a refuge and fortress to those who will put their trust in Him and He is God over all. King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The Joy of My Desire!

The verse says when we stay in the place of faith in Him, trusting in Him He covers us. As we dwell (abide, live) in His shadow He protects us and is with us.  In order to be in His shadow we must keep step with Him. Go where He goes and move when He moves. Be where God says, there we are protected. There we have provision. There all is supplied as we walk with (in)Him and He in us..

Refuge: A place providing protection or shelter ,  A source of help, relief

Fortress: a fortified place : stronghold; especially : a large and permanent fortification sometimes including a town

Fortified: To strengthen and secure
Walking with Jesus is safety, security, protection like NO other.

Philippians 2:3
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
Today, I am thinking about what it means to esteem others "BETTER than ourselves". That would be a very new idea today.
Matthew 20 relates that a mother came asking Jesus if her two sons may be seated at the right hand and left in the kingdom. The other ten apostles were not pleased with this.  These positions would be positions of esteem.

Passage Matthew 20:21:
And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.

Jesus settled this by saying it was not His to give but the Father would give to whom He had ordained.  Jesus begin to share with them something very important. 'Let him who is chief among you, let him be your servant.' Real ministry is servanthood. We are all to be ministers (servants). Jesus drew them away from who will RECEIVE to who will GIVE of their service.
We all need Jesus! We all are nothing without Him. We need the blessing of the Lord. We all want to go to heaven and we would be there together, but can we sit together right here.  Rather than trying to pull that sister or brother down, can we try to to do all we can to help them up?  Can I give up my seat for you and esteem you more highly or must I clamor for a seat.  Is having a seat here more important to me or is loving and caring and sharing more important to me. We got to love one another,  Can I esteem you more highly than I even if I have a title and a few letters, Can I humble myself and give more than lip service to you. Can we give of our time, our finances when called for and serve or wait upon each other.  Every person is important to God.  We're all going to be in heaven together  so we better get together right here. We all need Jesus and I may need more help in one area and you in the next but we still all need help! Let us love, help one another to new levels and higher dimensions. Go where no man has ever gone before. Lift off! amen

Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Hasbro had such a great idea when they created the "transformer."  Buy it in the store and it may be a truck or car but you work with it and you have a soldier.  I love it! God's word says to not be conformed to the world. It says do not be just going along with the status quo but allow the Word of God to take hold of us and move us around a bit. That takes time.  As the mind is renewed a whole new vessel emerges. What I like most about the transformer is that all the parts are already there. The maker created it with no parts missing. Once we accept Jesus as Lord and receive the Holy Spirit we find all the parts are there.   We take that transformer home and work with it like God Himself works with us. As the parts are moved around, it doesn't look like much as it goes from glory to glory.  In different phases of our transformation we may not look like much but all the parts are there and God is at work.
Can you imagine if that transformer were a living being the pain that would be involved as the parts are moved around and twisted on its way to becoming?
2 Corinthians 4:17
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
Let us love our fellow transformers just as they are.  Pray for each other, encourage one another, speak the truth in love.  Mercy suits the case. As we would desire forgiveness, let us give it. As we  would desire acceptance, let us offer it. Loving not only in word, but also in deed. What may not appear to be much to us, is gold to God.  We are all in the process of becoming.
1 John 3:2
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth
not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

I get to talk to quite a few people these days by God's great grace,  and the economy is one of the main subjects in the minds of people I talk to.  Another is their spiritual walk with God, so many feel that they are not where they want to be and still others who are sick and need healing in some way. Usually the word "miracle" comes up in the conversation. So many people are looking, wanting, praying for a miracle!  God spoke something into my spirit about miracles and it won't let me go.  He is still performing miracles! God's best for us in most cases is that we who are His very own not need a miracle but are living in the overflow. Be the head, not the tail, the lender not the borrower.  However, when we need a miracle, one of the ingredients  of a miracle that we dont like to talk too much about is that word "obedience." Obedience is most often connected to miracle.

Passage Philippians 2:8-9:
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name

Our Father gave Jesus an instruction and His obedience led to the miracle of many sons coming to glory!

2Kings 5:14

Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

Naaman wanted healing, but he first had to "obey" No obedience, no miracle. Interesting also here is said that he didn't want to dip in the water.  If Naaman had been given a grand instruction, he probably would have gladly and quickly obeyed.  Sometimes the instruction makes no sense. I think, most of the time, it makes no sense to the analytical mind.  I speak this to me also, even writing this, I was instructed to write it days ago.

Now we all know of the widow who was told to go collect vessels to receive finances to pay off her debt and of the woman who was fed and her child because she obeyed the Prophet of God and fed him first even though, it seemed she was giving her last food to him and her son would perish.  All of these lead to the nugget - if we want a miracle, we need to listen to God and obey. Sometimes we miss our miracle because it didn't come from even the "person" we wanted it to.  God has already given you everything you need.  His Holy Spirit dwells within, He speaks and He also confirms.  He won't lead you wrong.

So now, I'm just thinking....

In the garden of Eden God told Adam not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil but of every other tree he could eat.. Of course we know, he ate from that tree and I am not bashing him, but I am thinking, Adam was given an instruction. Had he heeded the instruction, would it not have led to a miracle?  The world would have kept its state. The curse causeless shall not come. AND what if he chose the tree of LIFE.  Now that would have been a miracle! No death.

Yes, I know  the last paragraph is not confirmed in the minds of many biblically, but I am just thinking.

Ponder this:

"The body of Christ has no big I's and Little you's. every part is critical to the finish."
